Teviot Flies

Jock Scott was a fisherman in the employment on Col John Scott of Sprouston, he designed this fly whilst en route to Norway to fish with his employer.  Jock was born at Branxholme which I overlook and the river Teviot runs at the foot of the hill at Branxholme.  I believe this fly looks fantastic as a summer and early autumn pattern and has brought many fish to the bank for me in the past few seasons.  A super charged temple dog style brings this historic pattern back into the modern world.

Details : Tweed black and yellow floss body, blue over yellow and red artic fox with guinea fowl throat, grade a Jungle Cock completed the fly.
