The Boleside beat of the river Tweed is located below the junction of the river Ettrick and benefits from the fish destined for this river backing up in the pools waiting to run the massive expanse of spawning grounds of the Ettrick and Yarrow systems. This is variant of the Boleside Pink that was first tied by beat Ghillie Nigel Fell, my subsequent dressings were then used for the commercial patterns. This is a great fly in all water coditions when nothing else seems to be working, fresh run fish love this one, this has been a hit with American and Canadian salmon fishers in the past few seasons.
